After School Care
Extend-A-Care
For Elementary School Children, ages 4 to 12
Our programs are designed to accommodate the needs of working parents by being both affordable and high in quality. We offer a variety of outdoor and indoor activities including time for Social Emotional Learning, reading and homework during BOOK NOOK time, supervised sports during T.E.A.M., multiple field trips, creative arts during Einstein Time, table games, math and science projects, music, dramatic play, cooking, and health and safety. Here is some more information regarding our program:
- After-school care starts immediately after school dismissal, and finishes at 6:30 p.m.
- Imagination Camp is provided for Pre-K children release at 2:12 p.m. - 2:57 p.m.
- Staff are certified in first aid and CPR, receiving extensive training prior to working with children. Staff are required to attend year round training.
- EAC strives to provide a lower adult to child ratio of 1:17 than minimum state requirements. There are a few times when EAC follows the state minimum standard adult to child ratio for school age children of 1:26.
- We provide one healthy snack for after-school care, and one mid-morning and afternoon snack for full-day care.

Boys & Girls Clubs
Since 2001, we’ve grown from three clubs to twenty-eight, and the number of kids we serve is up more than 700%. We achieve this growth by investing in kids instead of real estate. We partner with our friends at Austin ISD to our mutual benefit. It provides the facilities and we provide the staffing and programs. The results are better students, better citizens, and ultimately, a better city.
